Open in the reader1Now these are the kings of the land whom the children of Strives-with-God struck down and whose lands they took beyond the Descender to the east, from the Rushing-Stream Valley to Mount Abrupt, including all the Arabah eastward:
2Tempestuous king of the Mountaineers, who lived in Reckoning. He ruled from Bare-Place on the rim of the Rushing-Stream Valley, along the middle of the valley, up to the Pouring-Out River (the border of the children of Kindred), that is, half of Heap-of-Witness,
3as well as the Arabah east of the Sea of Harp to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea ), eastward through House-of-the-Wastelands, and southward below the slopes of The-Cleft.
4And Og king of Fertile-Plain, one of the remnant of the Rephaim, who lived in Ashtaroth and Mighty-Place.
5He ruled over Mount Abrupt, Salecah, all of Fertile-Plain up to the border of the Bridge-People and Pressed-Downs, and half of Heap-of-Witness to the border of Tempestuous king of Reckoning.
6Drawn-Out, the servant of He-Who-Is, and the children of Strives-with-God had struck them down and given their land as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Fortuneites, and the half-tribe of Causing-to-Forget.
7And these are the kings of the land that He-Who-Is-Saves and the children of Strives-with-God conquered beyond the Descender to the west, from Baal-of-Fortune in the Valley of White-Mountain to Mount Smooth, which rises toward Hairy (according to the allotments to the tribes of Strives-with-God, He-Who-Is-Saves gave them as an inheritance
8the hill country, the foothills, the Arabah, the slopes, the wilderness, and South-Country—the lands of the Hittites, Mountaineers, Canaanites, Mountaineer, Humbled-One, and Jebusites):
9the king of Moon, one; the king of The-Ruin, which is near House-of-God, one;
10the king of Foundation-of-Peace, one; the king of Association, one;
11the king of Heights, one; the king of Lachish, one;
12the king of Calf-Man, one; the king of Portion, one;
13the king of Oracle-Place, one; the king of Wall, one;
14the king of Devoted-to-Destruction, one; the king of Fugitive, one;
15the king of Whiteness, one; the king of Retreat, one;
16the king of Place-of-Shepherds, one; the king of House-of-God, one;
17the king of Apple, one; the king of Well, one;
18the king of Fortress, one; the king of LaPlain, one;
19the king of Strife, one; the king of Settlement, one;
20the king of Watch-Post-of-Meron, one; the king of Sorcery, one;
21the king of Taanach, one; the king of Rendezvous, one;
22the king of Devoted-Place, one; the king of The-People-Will-Be-Lamented in Fruitful-Field, one;
23the king of Generation in Naphath-Generation, one; the king of Nations in The-Rolling, one;
24and the king of Delightful, one. So there were thirty-one kings in all.
