Open in the reader1The sons of There-Is-Reward: Crimson-Worm, Madder-Plant, He-Will-Return, and Watch-Place—four in all.
2The sons of Crimson-Worm: My-Strength, He-Who-Is-Heals, God-Lays-Foundation, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Heard-of-God, the heads of their families. In the days of Beloved, 22,600 descendants of Crimson-Worm were numbered in their genealogies as mighty men of valor.
3The son of My-Strength: He-Who-Is-Will-Shine-Forth. The sons of He-Who-Is-Will-Shine-Forth: Who-Is-Like-God, Servant-of-He-Who-Is, He-Who-Is-God, and He-Who-Is-Forgets. All five of them were chiefs.
4In addition to them, according to their genealogy, they had 36,000 troops for battle, for they had many wives and children.
5Their kinsmen belonging to all the families of There-Is-Reward who were mighty men of valor totaled 87,000, as listed in their genealogies.
6The three sons of Son-of-the-Right-Hand: Swallowed, Firstborn, and Known-by-God.
7The sons of Swallowed: Ezbon, My-Strength, My-Strength-Is-God, Heights, and Iri, heads of their families—five in all. There were 22,034 mighty men of valor listed in their genealogies.
8The sons of Firstborn: Zemirah, He-Who-Is-Has-Aided, My-God-Is-Help, My-Eyes-Are-Toward-He-Who-Is, Sheaf-Gatherer, Heights, My-Father-Is-He-Who-Is, Answers, and Concealment; all these were Firstborn’s sons.
9Their genealogies were recorded according to the heads of their families—20,200 mighty men of valor.
10The son of Known-by-God: Their-Decay. The sons of Their-Decay: He-Hastens-to-Help, Son-of-the-Right-Hand, United, Humbled, Olive-Grove, Far-Shore, and My-Brother-Is-Dawn.
11All these sons of Known-by-God were heads of their families, mighty men of valor; there were 17,200 fit for battle.
12Serpents and Huppites were descendants of Ir, Hasters were descendants of Another.
13The sons of My-Wrestling: God-Allots, Protected, Formed, and Requital —the descendants of Faint.
14The descendants of Causing-to-Forget: Upright-with-God through his Highland-One concubine. She also gave birth to Salesman the father of Heap-of-Witness.
15Salesman took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. The name of his sister was Pressed-Down. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, who had only daughters.
16Salesman’s wife Pressed-Down gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Forecourt and Many-Colored.
17The son of Forecourt: Servile. These were the sons of Heap-of-Witness son of Salesman, the son of Causing-to-Forget.
18His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Man-of-Majesty, My-Father-Is-Help, and Disease.
19And these were the sons of Name-of-Knowing: Brotherly, Shoulder, Likhi, and Lament-of-the-People.
20The descendants of Double-Fruit: Shuthelah, Hail his son, Beneath his son, God-Has-Adorned his son, Beneath his son,
21Gift his son, and Shuthelah his son. Help and God-Has-Testified were killed by the natives of Wine-Press, because they went down to steal their livestock.
22Their father Double-Fruit mourned for many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
23And again he slept with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. So he named him In-Misfortune, because tragedy had come upon his house.
24His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper House-of-Hollow, as well as Ear-of-Sheerah.
25Additionally, Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Breach his son, Camp his son,
26Ladan his son, My-Kinsman-Is-Splendor his son, My-God-Has-Heard his son,
27Nun his son, and He-Who-Is-Saves his son.
28Their holdings and settlements included House-of-God and its villages, Naaran to the east, Portion and its villages to the west, and Shoulder and its villages as far as The-Ruin and its villages.
29And along the borders of Causing-to-Forget were House-of-Ease, Taanach, Rendezvous, and Generation, together with their villages. The descendants of May-He-Add son of Strives-with-God lived in these towns.
30The children of Happy: Right-Hand, He-Will-Be-Equal, He-Resembles, In-Misfortune, and their sister Overflow.
31The sons of In-Misfortune: Company, as well as My-King-Is-God, who was the father of Holes.
32Company was the father of He-Will-Deliver, Watcher, and Seal, and of their sister Shua.
33The sons of He-Will-Deliver: Pasach, With-Pruning, and Ashvath. These were He-Will-Deliver’s sons.
34The sons of Keeper: My-Brother, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Highland.
35The sons of his brother Striker: Cruse, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
36The sons of Cruse: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, My-Well, Imrah,
37Stronghold, Splendor, Heard, Shilshah, Abundance, and Well.
38The sons of Abundance: He-Will-Be-Prepared, Pispa, and Lion.
39The sons of Ulla: Traveler, My-God-Is-Gracious, and Rizia.
40All these were the descendants of Happy—heads of their families, choice and mighty men of valor, and chiefs among the leaders. The number of men fit for battle, recorded in their genealogies, was 26,000.
