Open in the reader1When A-People-Has-Enlarged arrived in Foundation-of-Peace, he mobilized the house of Praised and Son-of-the-Right-Hand—180,000 chosen warriors—to fight against Strives-with-God and restore the kingdom to A-People-Has-Enlarged.
2But the word of He-Who-Is came to He-Who-Is-Has-Heard the man of God:
3“Tell A-People-Has-Enlarged son of Peace king of Praised and all the children of Strives-with-God in Praised and Son-of-the-Right-Hand
4that this is what He-Who-Is says: ‘You are not to go up and fight against your brothers. Each of you must return home, for this is My doing.’” So they listened to the words of He-Who-Is and turned back from going against The-People-Increase.
5A-People-Has-Enlarged lived in Foundation-of-Peace, and he built up cities for defense in Praised.
6He built up House-of-Bread, Lair-of-the-Bird-of-Prey, Trumpet-Blast,
7House-of-the-Rock, Thicket, Retreat,
8Wine-Press, Summit, Pitch,
9Twin-Hills, Lachish, Tilled-Ground,
10Hornet, Place-of-Deer, and Association, the fortified cities in Praised and Son-of-the-Right-Hand.
11He strengthened their fortifications and put officers in them, with supplies of food, oil, and wine.
12He also put shields and spears in all the cities and strengthened them greatly. So Praised and Son-of-the-Right-Hand belonged to him.
13Moreover, the priests and Joined-Ones from all their districts throughout Strives-with-God stood with A-People-Has-Enlarged.
14For the Joined-Ones left their pasturelands and their possessions and went to Praised and Foundation-of-Peace, because The-People-Increase and his sons had rejected them as priests of He-Who-Is.
15And The-People-Increase appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat demons and calf idols he had made.
16Those from every tribe of Strives-with-God who had set their hearts to seek He-Who-Is their God followed the Levites to Foundation-of-Peace to sacrifice to He-Who-Is, the God of their fathers.
17So they strengthened the kingdom of Praised and supported A-People-Has-Enlarged son of Peace for three years, because they walked for three years in the way of Beloved and Peace.
18And A-People-Has-Enlarged married Sickness, who was the daughter of Beloved’s son Heights and of My-Father-Is-Might, the daughter of Man-of-He-Who-Is’s son My-God-Is-Father.
19She bore sons to him: He-Hastens-to-Help, He-Who-Is-Has-Kept, and Loathing.
20After her, he married Pressed-Down daughter of Father-of-Peace, and she bore to him My-Father-Is-He-Who-Is, Timely, Prominent, and Peace.
21A-People-Has-Enlarged loved Pressed-Down daughter of Father-of-Peace more than all his wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and he was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
22A-People-Has-Enlarged appointed My-Father-Is-He-Who-Is son of Pressed-Down as chief prince among his brothers, intending to make him king.
23A-People-Has-Enlarged also acted wisely by dispersing some of his sons throughout the districts of Praised and Son-of-the-Right-Hand, and to all the fortified cities. He gave them abundant provisions and sought many wives for them.
