This is the record of the genealogy of He-Who-Is-Saves The-Anointed-One, the son of Beloved, the son of Father-of-a-Multitude:

Father-of-a-Multitude was the father of He-Laughs, He-Laughs the father of Heel-Grabber, and Heel-Grabber the father of Praised and his brothers.

Praised was the father of Breach and Dawning by Palm-Tree, Breach the father of Courtyard, and Courtyard the father of Exalted.

Exalted was the father of My-Kinsman-Is-Generous, My-Kinsman-Is-Generous the father of Enchanter, and Enchanter the father of Garment.

Garment was the father of In-Strength by Wide, In-Strength the father of Serving by Friend, Serving the father of Man-of-He-Who-Is,

and Man-of-He-Who-Is the father of Beloved the king. Next: Beloved was the father of Peace by My-Light-Is-He-Who-Is’s wife,

Peace the father of A-People-Has-Enlarged, A-People-Has-Enlarged the father of My-Father-Is-He-Who-Is, and My-Father-Is-He-Who-Is the father of Healer.

Healer was the father of He-Who-Is-Has-Judged, He-Who-Is-Has-Judged the father of He-Who-Is-Exalted, and He-Who-Is-Exalted the father of Strength-of-He-Who-Is.

Strength-of-He-Who-Is was the father of He-Who-Is-Perfect, He-Who-Is-Perfect the father of He-Has-Grasped, and He-Has-Grasped the father of He-Who-Is-Has-Strengthened.

He-Who-Is-Has-Strengthened was the father of Causing-to-Forget, Causing-to-Forget the father of Faithful, Faithful the father of He-Who-Is-Establishes,

and He-Who-Is-Establishes the father of He-Who-Is-Establishes and his brothers at the time of the exile to Confusion.

After the exile to Confusion: He-Who-Is-Establishes was the father of I-Have-Asked-of-God, I-Have-Asked-of-God the father of Sown-in-Confusion,

Sown-in-Confusion the father of My-Father-Is-Majesty, My-Father-Is-Majesty the father of God-Will-Establish, and God-Will-Establish the father of Helper.

Helper was the father of Righteous, Righteous the father of He-Will-Establish, and He-Will-Establish the father of My-God-Is-Majesty.

My-God-Is-Majesty was the father of My-God-Is-Help, My-God-Is-Help the father of Gift, Gift the father of Heel-Grabber,

and Heel-Grabber the father of Josech, the husband of Bitter, of whom was born He-Who-Is-Saves, who is called The-Anointed-One.

In all, then, there were fourteen generations from Father-of-a-Multitude to Beloved, fourteen from Beloved to the exile to Confusion, and fourteen from the exile to the The-Anointed-One.

This is how the birth of He-Who-Is-Saves The-Anointed-One came about: His mother Bitter was pledged in marriage Josech, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Devoted Spirit.

Because Josech her husband was a righteous man and was unwilling to disgrace her publicly, he resolved to divorce her quietly.

But after he had pondered these things, a messenger of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Josech, son of Beloved, do not be afraid to embrace Bitter as your wife, for the One conceived in her is from the Devoted Spirit.

She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name He-Who-Is-Saves, because He will save His people from their sins.”

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

“Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him God-With-Us” (which means, “God with us”).

When Josech woke up, he did as the messenger of the Lord had commanded him and embraced Bitter as his wife.

But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name He-Who-Is-Saves.
