2and included Well-of-Oath (or Sheba), Birthplace,
3Village-of-the-Fox, Decay, Bone,
4God-Begets, Dweller-of-God, Devoted-to-Destruction,
5Ziklag, House-of-Chariots, Village-of-the-Mare,
6House-of-Lionesses, and Sharuhen—thirteen cities, along with their villages.
7Spring-of-Pomegranate, Pomegranate, Supplication, and Smoke—four cities, along with their villages,
8and all the villages surrounding these cities as far as Mistress-of-the-Well (Heights of the Negev). This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Heard.
9The inheritance of the children of Heard was taken from the territory of Praised, because the share for Praised’s descendants was too large for them. So the children of Heard received an inheritance within Praised’s portion.
10The third lot came up for the clans of the tribe of Dwelling: The border of their inheritance stretched as far as Survivor.
11It went up westward to Maralah, reached Camel-Hump, and met the brook east of The-People-Will-Be-Lamented.
12From Survivor it turned eastward along the border of Loins-of-Tabor and went on to Pasture and up to He-Shines-Forth.
13From there it crossed eastward to Winepress-of-the-Well and to Time-of-the-Chief; it extended to Pomegranate and curved around toward Neah.
14Then the border circled around the north side of Wandering to Hannathon and ended at the Valley God-Opens Iphtah-el.
15It also included Kattath, Pasture, Watch-Place, Idalah, and House-of-Bread. There were twelve cities, along with their villages.
16This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Dwelling, including these cities and their villages.
17The fourth lot came out for the clans of the tribe of There-Is-Reward:
18Their territory included God-Sows, Chesulloth, Shunem,
19Hapharaim, Shion, Gorge-of-Snorting,
20Rabbith, Hardness, Conspicuous,
21Remeth, Spring-of-Gardens, Spring-of-Sharpness, and House-of-Dispersion.
22The border reached Mound, Shahazumah, and House-of-Sun, and ended at the Descender. There were sixteen cities, along with their villages.
23This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of There-Is-Reward, including these cities and their villages.
24The fifth lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Happy:
25Their territory included Smoothness, Hali, Hollow, Sorcery,
26Oak-of-the-King, Amad, and Asked-For. On the west the border touched Fruitful-Field and Black-Water-of-White-Glass,
27then turned eastward toward House-of-Dagon, touched Dwelling and the Valley of God-Opens-el, and went north to House-of-the-Valley and Neiel, passing To-Bind on the left.
28It went on to Ebron, Broad-Place, Hot-Place, and Reed, as far as Greater Sidon.
29The border then turned back toward The-Height as far as the fortified city of The-Rock, turned toward Refuge, and came out at the Sea in the region of Deception,
30Ummah, Fortress, and Broad-Place. There were twenty-two cities, along with their villages.
31This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Happy, including these cities and their villages.
32The sixth lot came out for the clans of the tribe of My-Wrestling:
33Their border started at Heleph and the great tree of Place-of-Tents, passing Earth-of-the-Pass-nekeb and God-Builds as far as Lakkum and ending at the Descender.
34Then the border turned westward to Ears-of-Tabor and ran from there to Hukkok, touching Dwelling on the south side, Happy on the west, and Praised at the Descender on the east.
35The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hot-Spring, Rakkath, Harp,
36Earth, The-Height, Settlement,
37Devoted-Place, Mighty-Place, Spring-of-Hazor,
38Iron, Tower-of-God, Horem, House-of-Anath, and House-of-Sun. There were nineteen cities, along with their villages.
39This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of My-Wrestling, including these cities and their villages.
40The seventh lot came out for the clans of the tribe of Judge:
41The territory of their inheritance included Hornet, Place-of-Asking, Ir-shemesh,
42Fox-Holes, Place-of-Deer, Ithlah,
43Oak, Allotted-Portion, Uprooting,
44Meeting, Mound, Mistress,
45Praised, Sons-of-Lightning, Wine-Press-of-the-Pomegranate,
46Waters-of-Paleness, and Rakkon, including the territory across from Fair.
47(Later, when the territory of the children of Judge was lost to them, they went up and fought against Jacinth, captured it, and put it to the sword. So they took possession of Jacinth, settled there, and renamed it after their father Judge.)
48This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Judge, including these cities and their villages.
49When they had finished distributing the land into its territories, the children of Strives-with-God gave He-Who-Is-Saves son of Nun an inheritance among them,
50as He-Who-Is had commanded. They gave him the city of Portion-of-Abundance in the hill country of Double-Fruit, as he requested. He rebuilt the city and settled in it.
51These are the inheritances that My-God-Is-Help the priest, He-Who-Is-Saves son of Nun, and the heads of the families distributed by lot to the tribes of Strives-with-God at Shiloh before He-Who-Is at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.
