Meaning First Bible · Hosea · chapter 1 of 14

This is the word of He-Who-Is that came to Saves son of My-Well in the days of Strength-of-He-Who-Is, He-Who-Is-Perfect, He-Has-Grasped, and He-Who-Is-Has-Strengthened, kings of Praised, and of The-People-Increase son of He-Who-Is-Strong, king of Strives-with-God.

When He-Who-Is first spoke through Saves, He-Who-Is told him, “Go, take a prostitute as your wife and have children of adultery, because this land is flagrantly prostituting itself by departing from He-Who-Is.”

So Hosea went and married Completion daughter of Two-Fig-Cakes, and she conceived and bore him a son.

Then He-Who-Is said to Hosea, “Name him God-Sows, for soon I will bring the bloodshed of God-Sows upon the house of He-Who-Is-He, and I will put an end to the kingdom of Strives-with-God.

And on that day I will break the bow of Strives-with-God in the Valley of God-Sows.”

Completion again conceived and gave birth to a daughter, and He-Who-Is said to Hosea, “Name her Not-Pitied, for I will no longer have compassion on the house of Strives-with-God, that I should ever forgive them.

Yet I will have compassion on the house of Praised, and I will save them—not by bow or sword or war, not by horses and cavalry, but by He-Who-Is their God .”

After she had weaned Not-Pitied, Completion conceived and gave birth to a son.

And He-Who-Is said, “Name him Not-My-People, for you are not My people, and I am not your God.
