2Hairy took his wives from the daughters of Humbled: Adornment daughter of Oak the Son-of-Terror, Tent-of-the-High-Place daughter of Answer and granddaughter of Dye the Tent-Villager,
3and Fragrance daughter of God-Hears and sister of Fruitfulnesses.
4And Adornment bore My-God-Is-Fine-Gold to Hairy, Fragrance gave birth to Friend-of-God,
5and Tent-of-the-High-Place gave birth to He-Hastens-to-Help, He-Hides, and Shaven. These were the sons of Hairy, who were born to him in the land of Humbled.
6Later, Hairy took his wives and sons and daughters and all the people of his household, along with his livestock, all his other animals, and all the property he had acquired in Humbled, and he moved to a land far away from his brother Heel-Grabber.
7For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together; the land where they stayed could not support them because of their livestock.
8So Hairy (that is, Red) settled in the area of Mount Hairy.
9This is the account of Hairy, the father of the children of Red, in the area of Mount Hairy.
10These are the names of Hairy’s sons: My-God-Is-Fine-Gold son of Hairy’s wife Adornment, and Friend-of-God son of Hairy’s wife Fragrance.
11The sons of My-God-Is-Fine-Gold were South, Speaker, Watchman, Gatam, and Hunter.
12Additionally, Restraint, a concubine of Hairy’s son My-God-Is-Fine-Gold, gave birth to Amalek. These are the grandsons of Hairy’s wife Adornment.
13These are the sons of Friend-of-God: Rest, Dawning, Desolation, and Mizzah. They are the grandsons of Hairy’s wife Fragrance.
14These are the sons of Hairy’s wife Tent-of-the-High-Place (daughter of Answer and granddaughter of Dye) whom she bore to Hairy: He-Hastens-to-Help, He-Hides, and Shaven.
15These are the chiefs among the sons of Hairy. The sons of My-God-Is-Fine-Gold the firstborn of Hairy: Chiefs South, Speaker, Watchman, Hunter,
16Shaven, Gatam, and Amalek. They are the chiefs of My-God-Is-Fine-Gold in the land of Red, and they are the grandsons of Adornment.
17These are the sons of Hairy’s son Friend-of-God: Chiefs Rest, Dawning, Desolation, and Mizzah. They are the chiefs descended from Friend-of-God in the land of Red, and they are the grandsons of Hairy’s wife Fragrance.
18These are the sons of Hairy’s wife Tent-of-the-High-Place: Chiefs He-Hastens-to-Help, He-Hides, and Shaven. They are the chiefs descended from Hairy’s wife Tent-of-the-High-Place, the daughter of Answer.
19All these are the sons of Hairy (that is, Red), and they were their chiefs.
20These are the sons of Hairy the Cave-Dwellers, who were living in the land: Covering, Flowing, Dye, Answer,
21Antelope, Treasure, and Antelope. They are the chiefs of the Cave-Dwellers, the descendants of Hairy in the land of Red.
22The sons of Covering were Cave-Dweller and Raging. Restraint was Covering’s sister.
23These are the sons of Flowing: Lofty, Resting-Place, Bare, Shepho, and Vigorous.
24These are the sons of Dye: Hawk and Answer. (This is the Answer who found the hot springs in the wilderness as he was pasturing the donkeys of his father Dye.)
25These are the children of Answer: Antelope and Tent-of-the-High-Place daughter of Answer.
26These are the sons of Antelope: Hemdan, Vigorous, Abundance, and Cheran.
27These are the sons of Treasure: Their-Decay, Trembling, and Akan.
28These are the sons of Antelope: Consultation and Ringing-Cry.
29These are the chiefs of the Cave-Dwellers: Chiefs Covering, Flowing, Dye, Answer,
30Antelope, Treasure, and Antelope. They are the chiefs of the Cave-Dwellers, according to their divisions in the land of Hairy.
31These are the kings who reigned in the land of Red before any king reigned over the children of Strives-with-God:
32Swallowed son of Burning reigned in Red; the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33When Swallowed died, Howler son of Dawning from Fortress reigned in his place.
34When Howler died, Hasty from the land of the Southerners reigned in his place.
35When Hasty died, Hadad son of Solitary, who defeated Strife in the country of From-the-Father, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Ruin.
36When Hadad died, Garment from Vineyard reigned in his place.
37When Garment died, Asked-For from Broad-Places on the Euphrates reigned in his place.
38When Asked-For died, Baal-Is-Gracious son of Mouse reigned in his place.
39When Baal-Is-Gracious son of Mouse died, Hadar reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was God-Bestows-Good daughter of Driving-Forward, the daughter of Waters-of-Gold.
40These are the names of Hairy’s chiefs, according to their families and regions, by their names: Chiefs Restraint, Lofty, Jetheth,
41Tent-of-the-High-Place, Terebinth, Darkness,
42Hunter, South, Fortress,
43Preciousness-of-God, and City-Dweller. These were the chiefs of Red, according to their settlements in the land they possessed. Hairy was the father of the children of Red.
