But He-Who-Is said to Drawn-Out, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for because of My mighty hand he will let the people go; because of My strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”

God also told Drawn-Out, “I am He-Who-Is.

I appeared to Father-of-a-Multitude, to He-Laughs, and to Heel-Grabber as God Almighty, but by My name He-Who-Is I did not make Myself known to them.

I also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Humbled, the land where they lived as foreigners.

Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the children of Strives-with-God, whom the Two-Straitsians are enslaving, and I have remembered My covenant.

Therefore tell the children of Strives-with-God: ‘I am He-Who-Is, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Two-Straitsians and deliver you from their bondage. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.

I will take you as My own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am He-Who-Is your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Two-Straitsians.

And I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Father-of-a-Multitude, He-Laughs, and Heel-Grabber. I will give it to you as a possession. I am He-Who-Is!’”

Drawn-Out relayed this message to the children of Strives-with-God, but on account of their broken spirit and cruel bondage, they did not listen to him.

So He-Who-Is said to Drawn-Out,

“Go and tell Pharaoh king of Two-Straits to let the children of Strives-with-God go out of his land.”

But in He-Who-Is’s presence Drawn-Out replied, “If the children of Strives-with-God will not listen to me, then why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I am unskilled in speech?”

Then He-Who-Is spoke to Drawn-Out and Aaron and gave them a charge concerning both the children of Strives-with-God and Pharaoh king of Two-Straits, to bring the children of Strives-with-God out of the land of Two-Straits.

These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of See-a-Son, the firstborn of Strives-with-God, were Dedicated and Distinguished, Courtyard and My-Vineyard. These were the clans of See-a-Son.

The sons of Heard were Jemuel, Right-Hand, United, He-Will-Establish, Tawny, and Asked-For, the son of a Humbled-One woman. These were the clans of Heard.

These were the names of the sons of Joined according to their records: Sojourner-There, Assembly, and Bitter. Joined lived 137 years.

The sons of Sojourner-There were White and My-Hearing, by their clans.

The sons of Assembly were Kindred-Is-Exalted, Shining-Oil, Association, and My-Strength-Is-God. Assembly lived 133 years.

The sons of Bitter were Sickly and Sensitive. These were the clans of the children of Joined according to their records.

And Kindred-Is-Exalted married his father’s sister He-Who-Is-Glorious, and she bore him Aaron and Drawn-Out. Kindred-Is-Exalted lived 137 years.

The sons of Shining-Oil were Shaven, Nepheg, and My-Remembrance.

The sons of My-Strength-Is-God were Who-Is-What-God-Is, God-Has-Treasured, and Sithri.

And Aaron married God-Is-My-Oath, the daughter of My-Kinsman-Is-Generous and sister of Enchanter, and she bore him Generous and He-Is-My-Father, My-God-Is-Help and Coast-of-Palms.

The sons of Shaven were Prisoner, God-Has-Acquired, and My-Father-Has-Gathered. These were the clans of the Shaven-Ones.

Aaron’s son My-God-Is-Help married one of the daughters of Given-by-God, and she bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the Joined-Ones families by their clans.

It was this Aaron and Drawn-Out to whom He-Who-Is said, “Bring the Strives-with-Godites out of the land of Two-Straits by their divisions.”

Drawn-Out and Aaron were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Two-Straits in order to bring the children of Strives-with-God out of Two-Straits.

Now on the day that He-Who-Is spoke to Drawn-Out in Two-Straits,

He-Who-Is said to him, “I am He-Who-Is; tell Pharaoh king of Two-Straits everything I say to you.”

But in He-Who-Is’s presence Drawn-Out replied, “Since I am unskilled in speech, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”
