Meaning First Bible · Deuteronomy · chapter 34 of 34

Then Drawn-Out went up from the plains of From-the-Father to Mount Nebo, to the top of The-Cleft, which faces Moon. And He-Who-Is showed him the whole land—from Heap-of-Witness as far as Judge,

all of My-Wrestling, the land of Double-Fruit and Causing-to-Forget, all the land of Praised as far as the Western Sea,

South-Country, and the region from the Valley of Moon (the City of Palms) all the way to Little.

And He-Who-Is said to him, “This is the land that I swore to give Father-of-a-Multitude, He-Laughs, and Heel-Grabber when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”

So Drawn-Out the servant of He-Who-Is died there in the land of From-the-Father, as He-Who-Is had said.

And He buried him in a valley in the land of From-the-Father facing House-of-Peor, and no one to this day knows the location of his grave.

Drawn-Out was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not diminished.

The children of Strives-with-God grieved for Drawn-Out in the plains of From-the-Father thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning for Drawn-Out came to an end.

Now He-Who-Is-Saves son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Drawn-Out had laid his hands on him. So the children of Strives-with-God obeyed him and did as He-Who-Is had commanded Drawn-Out.

Since that time, no prophet has risen in Strives-with-God like Drawn-Out, whom He-Who-Is knew face to face—

no prophet who did all the signs and wonders that He-Who-Is sent Drawn-Out to do in the land of Two-Straits to Pharaoh and to all his officials and all his land,

and no prophet who performed all the mighty acts of power and awesome deeds that Drawn-Out did in the sight of all Strives-with-God.
